Terms of service

Selah is a live streaming community for Christians. These terms are the agreement between you and Selah when you use the site. By creating an account or using Selah, you agree to them.

Who can use Selah

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are 13 to 17, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms with you, and must give consent before you stream. You are responsible for keeping your password and stream key private and for everything done with your account.

The Community Covenant

Everyone who streams or chats agrees to follow the Community Covenant. It is part of these terms. Selah may remove content, hide chat messages, end streams, and suspend or ban accounts that break it, following the steps described on the Covenant page. Serious violations, especially anything that endangers a minor, lead to an immediate ban and may be reported to the authorities.

Your content

You own what you stream and post. By sharing it on Selah, you give Selah permission to host, record, display, and distribute it on the site so others can watch it, including as a replay for up to 30 days. Only stream things you have the right to share. Do not stream music, films, or games whose owners do not allow it.

Things you must not do

Break the law or help anyone else break it.
Pretend to be someone else, or mislead viewers about who you are.
Try to get into accounts or parts of the site you are not allowed to use, or disrupt the service.
Collect other people's personal information without their permission.
Use Selah to send spam or run scams.

Reporting

If you see something that breaks the Covenant or these terms, use the Report button on the stream or message. Moderators review every report. If your account is suspended and you think it was a mistake, you may appeal once.

Changes and ending your account

Selah is a young service and will change. We may update features or these terms; if the changes are significant, we will let you know on the site. You can stop using Selah at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that break these terms.

No guarantees

Selah is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we are not responsible for what other users stream or say. To the extent the law allows, Selah is not liable for indirect or incidental losses from using the service.
