This page explains what Selah collects, why, and who helps us run the site. We collect only what we need to run Selah, and we do not sell your information or show ads.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, username, password (stored encrypted), and whether you are 18 or older.
- Channel details: your display name, bio, stream titles, and categories.
- What you do on Selah: your chat messages, who you follow, and reports you send or that are made about you.
- Your streams: the video you broadcast, which is recorded and kept as a replay for 30 days, then deleted.
- Technical information: basic logs such as IP address and browser type, which our providers keep to run and protect the service.
How we use it
We use this information to run your account, show your streams and chat to viewers, keep the community safe under the Community Covenant, review reports, and fix problems. We email you only about your account, such as confirming your email address.
What others can see
Your username, channel page, follower count, live streams, replays, and chat messages are public. Your email address, age answer, and reports are private.
Who helps us run Selah
- Supabase stores accounts and site data and handles logging in.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Cloudflare receives, records, and plays streams.
They process information only to provide these services to Selah.
Cookies
Selah uses cookies only to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Young people
Selah is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, please report it and we will delete it. Streamers aged 13 to 17 need a parent's consent.
Your choices
You can change your channel details at any time. You can ask us to delete your account, which removes your profile, follows, and chat messages. Reports may be kept for a time if they are needed to keep others safe.
Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we will let you know on the site.
